LCA Pain Clinic is a specialized department of Linn
County Anesthesiologists, PC. Its physicians are dedicated to the
evaluation, diagnosis and application of interventional techniques for the
treatment of patients suffering from chronic pain. Patients referred to
our clinics often have pain that has not responded to treatment by other
physicians or are seeking non-surgical pain relief.
Our LCA Pain Clinic physicians are an integral part
of the St. Luke's Spine Center (part of St. Luke's Human Motion Institute) and
also Mercy's Interventional Pain Center (part of Mercy's Back and Spine Center).
Both centers focus on a multidisciplinary approach to healing, which may include
referrals to a surgeon, behavioral counselor, wellness coach, physical
therapy, massage therapy, stress management or nutritional services, in addition
to traditional interventional techniques. All LCA Pain Clinic physicians
see patients and perform procedures at both facilities. Information on St.
Luke's Human Motion Institute may be obtained by calling (319) 369-8204. Mercy's
Spine Center information is available at (319) 398-6636.

Our Goals are to optimize pain control and
improve the quality of life for our patients
with chronic pain.
Please note that although LCA Pain Clinic
physicians are experts in identifying the causes of pain, sometimes the exact
cause or relief of chronic pain cannot be achieved. Our web page includes
a listing of conditions that we treat and
also the treatments used for those
conditions.
Making Appointments
New patients to either of our clinics must be referred by a
healthcare provider. The physician's office must call to arrange the first appointment
so that information regarding a patient's prior care can be obtained. Copies
of all relevant medical records and tests (especially x-rays and MRI's) should be sent prior to the visit or
with the patient. All initial appointments may be scheduled by calling our
administrative office at (319) 743-7301.
